Summary:
The Educational Prevention Intervention Consultant (EPIC Social Worker) is responsible for providing quality social services to assigned school districts.
The EPIC Intervention Specialist's responsibilities include working as an integrated member of the school district's Student Assistance/Instructional Support Program, assisting with facilitating aftercare, and providing on-site consultation services to at-risk students with their parent's permission.
Unit Specific Performance Objectives Acts as an integrated member of the school district's Student Assistance/Instructional Support Team as required by the school district.
Assists in facilitating Aftercare and Insight/Intervention student groups.
Provides in-service training programs to educators, parents and community groups.
Maintains an active and ongoing relationship and communication with community human service providers.
Conducts needs-assessment, general surveys, and on-site mental health/drug and alcohol initial assessments and screenings.
Assists in referral process for students or parents found to be in need of human services.
Provides on-site consultation services for Student Assistance Teams, IST Teams, teachers, administrators, and parents.
Conducts groups addressing the transition of students from treatment facilities into the school and social environment.
Provides supportive counseling and monitoring services for at-risk students unable to access community-based resources.
Coordinates services with other school-based providers including guidance counselors, home and school visitors, and school psychologists.
Maintains documentation in a timely manner that is reflective of ongoing work with individual students and groups and maintains confidential files on students Maintains confidentiality while providing necessary information to school staff, parents and other professionals.
Completes documentation requirements and requests from EPIC program manager and school district staff in a timely manner.
Maintains professional dress, boundaries, communication and expertise at all times.
Attends EPIC staff meetings to exchange information, understand organizational philosophy, and participates in staff development programs.
Demonstrates knowledge of age specific growth and development.
Participates in own performance process Maintains competence in identified universal, core and critical competencies.
Performs other duties as requested.
Minimum Required Education/Experience/Skills:
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Experience with children and adolescents.
Master's level Social Worker preferred.
Knowledge of group dynamics preferred.
Must be knowledgeable of the developmental stages and behaviors for age group of students.
Maintains competence in identified universal, core and critical competencies.
Valid Act 34/34 clearances Must meet job competencies within 90 days of hire.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
