Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Safety Manager to work in our Canonsburg, PA location.
The Safety Manager will report to the Director of Quality and Safety and will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have attention to detail, problem solver, be technically knowledgeable, and be team-oriented.
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:
Five (5) or more years of experience in Safety within a similar operational capacity.
Preference will be given to experience in both construction and general industry settings.
Preferred is a Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or CSP credentials Must have OSHA Authorized Trainer in Construction or General Industry CSP credentials First Aid/CPR/AED Training a plus
Job Description:
Key participant on the Safety Committee The generation of, review of, and monitoring of JHA's/JSA's.
Will provide site-specific safety training for employees, routine surveillance and reporting of the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and the inspection of safety equipment and other safety-related activities as required to support site needs.
Will be responsible for accident and incident investigations, reviews, and analysis.
Will assist in determining the root cause of any such accidents or incidents and the determination of, development of, and implementation of any necessary corrective actions.
Will interact regularly with the plant owners (clients) and the Project Team as well as the Aquatech corporate management team.
Aquatech has several ongoing project locations and field offices.
Frequent travel (30 40% at times may be required) Skill Requirements:
Great interpersonal relationship skills.
Great organizational skills and Great communication skills (both written and oral).
Very proficient with Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Physical Job Demands:
Lifting/carrying/moving 50 lbs, may need to climb ladders cannot be afraid of heights, and will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on site.
The Safety Manager must have the physical and mental capacity to work at elevations, on scaffolding, and in confined spaces.
The Safety Manager must be capable of the same physical activities as our workforce.
