Scitizenship is requiredResponsibilities for this Position Relocation and Sign on Bonus Available! As a DPME, you will lead, mentor, and motivate multi-disciplined engineering team consisting of Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Engineers etcYou are expected to accomplish the following Key Performance ObjectivesKey Performance Objectives:
o Work closely with the Chief Engineer and Business Area Manager to p lan, authorize, and monitor the engineering work (including providing strong leadership to ensure all events occur as planned).
o Oversee total Torpedo portfolio performance (cost, scope, and schedule) for all engineering efforts to ensure project requirements are validated, integrated, tested, and verified, resulting in high quality deliverables developed and delivered on time.
o Plans, authorizes, and monitors the engineering work (including providing strong leadership to ensure all events occur as planned)o Staff the project team (along with the Senior Engineering Manager and Director of Engineering) with the appropriate engineering personnel.
o Develop and maintain engineering plans, risks, and opportunities, follow change management processes, and ensure all engineering processes adhere to GDMS standards and practices throughout the life of the projectand maintain engineering plans as required by the project.
o Conduct monthly engineering status reviews and provides material for the monthly program reviewsImplement effective corrective actions as required.
o Manage the resolution of technical issues, communicates the resolution to all affected parties, and ensures that the resolution is carried out in all the affected artifacts.
o Motivate the engineering team and provides a clear understanding of project goalsReward the team members that drive the success of the projectProvide performance feedback and management for the project teamTake immediate & decisive action in dealing with technical & performance issues.
