The Director of Environmental Resources will be responsible for program- level leadership as it relates to all environmental resources group for the oversight of groups in multiple offices and report directly to our Vice President. The ideal candidate should have a background in: erosion sediment control, SWPPP, rare and threatened endangered species, wetland functional assessments and wetland mitigation. This position will require a combination of efforts that range from development of internal operations, oversight of corporate environmental activities to business development.
Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:
o This position will lead environmental permitting for earth disturbance and wetland/stream impacts permitting for well pad and pipeline projects in the oil and gas sector. Including stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) preparation, impact assessments, mitigation planning and other permitting.
o Oversight and responsible charge of activities and overall client maintenance for services of the Environmental Resources group.
o Encouraged development to interact with Marcellus Shale Coalition, State Environmental, and the elevation of Dawood's profile in serving our client base.
o Oversight and development of staff and organizational structure.
o Oversight and development of corporate budget for Environmental Services in association with the Chief Financial Officer.
o Be completely versed in the firm's client contracts for projects and work to satisfy client's goals and objectives.
o Organize work procedures set forth to be implemented and accomplished for project.
o Schedule design meetings with the Client and Department Managers, and schedule appropriate staff for these meetings.
o Maintain Corporate Quality Control/Quality Assurance standards.
Requirements:
o A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Environmental, Biological or Ecological Science is required. Master's degree preferred.
o At least 10 years' experience as a natural resources professional and/or with progressive levels of responsibility.
o The candidate MUST have experience in West Virginia and Ohio permitting and regulations.
o Must have experience with initial target markets; including Energy (Oil/Gas Opportunities) clients in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, as well as National clients.
o Must have regular interaction with staff from various offices.
o Candidate must exhibit a positive flexible attitude and have excellent communication skills.
o Must be able to travel to other regional locations, on an as needed basis, is required.
